Not many footballers come back from China better PLAYERS than before they left, but Gervinho has been an outstanding star for Parma this season.
Since his resignation from Hebei China Fortune, he consistently proveD the quality of his playing in one of the top five European leagues. Parma is his ninth career club and this year he has undoubtedly had the best time of his life.
The Ivorian international playing FOR Parma, Yao Kouassi Gervais known as GERVINHO was elected, by the supporters of his club, “best player of the season for his team”, according to sportmania.
An award well deserved for the 31-year-old Ivorian striker who has been brilliant throughout this first season with Parma. Trained at the original JMG Academy in Ivory Coast, Gervinho’s stats this year in the SERIES A Championship:
- He has participated in 28 games out of 35 games,
- He played 25 games on the starting line up
- On a championship of 3,150 minutes of play in the season, he played 2166 minutes
- He scored 10 goals (16th overall)
- He has 5 assists
With his speed, his dribbling skills and his address in front of goal, he was this year the most important player for his club in the Italian championship this year. He has also has been present at major events, especially against Juventus in Turin where Gervinho had scored a double. A performance that has earned the admiration of one of the best players in the world Cristiano Ronaldo.
Note that Gervinho has still not stopped his international career and could be very useful to Ivory Coast at the next World Cup starting June 21 in Egypt.
