The LOSC has formalized this Wednesday night the contract extension of Youssouf Koné, the Malian international left-back defender that Lille has loaned this season to Reims where he unfortunately seriously injured his knee last December, ending his season.
« Youssouf Koné (22), extended his contract for three additional seasons with LOSC. He is now linked to the Lille club until 2022. Fashioned at the Academy Jean-Marc Guillou of Bamako, Youssouf Koné is recruited in 2013 by the LOSC. He did his post-training, before joining the professional group with which he played 8 matches under the jersey of LOSC in all competitions. Having become an international player for Mali, this athletic and explosive left-back (1m74, 71kg) will be hardened in the form of a loan of one season at the Stade de Reims (L2) during the summer of 2017. Yves Bissouma’s compatriot and Rominigue Kouamé immediately imposes himself as a potential holder and one of the revelations of the first part of the season in Domino’s Ligue 2 (18 games as a titular). Unfortunately, a bad knee injury comes prematurely to end his season in Champagne at the end of December. Back at the Domaine de Luchin where he is currently recovering, Youssouf has signed his new contract today and is now preparing the 2018-2019 season, surrounded by Lille staff, says LOSC.
