Hamari Traoré you often speak of your “little brothers”. Why does this matter to you?
I always have. At the Academy, I was of the first generation. There was the second generation with Haïdara, Bissouma, Kouamé… These young players, I “protected” them, I made them go to bed at 9 p.m. At Stade Rennais, when a youngster comes up with us, it’s difficult for him. He can be scared, intimidated by the pros. Me, I approach him to tell him to be himself, not to trouble his head. To have fun. There is no complex to have with Hamari Traoré or Benjamin Bourigeaud. I tell him: “play, do what you know how to do”. I try to reassure them.
