
Algeria’s Ramy Bensebaini on target as Rennes return to winning ways
Following the 2-2 game against the OM of Marseille, a game in wich Ramy was involved with the 2 goals of his team, on the first goal he made a decisive pass to Lucas Ocampos, and then later in the game he allowed Marseille to tie the game by scoring in his own goal on a header ball while trying to clear his zone.
But the Algerian Ramy Bensebaini came back strong for the following game and got on the scoresheet as Stade Rennais returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bordeaux in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter.
Sabri Lamouchi’s players scored 2 headers in first-half within the space of four minutes. In the 12th minute, Benjamin Andre’s scored off a Clement Grenier corner before the former JMG Academician from Paradou Ramy made it two with another header in the 16th minute, benefitting of a cross from Benjamin Bourigeaud.
The goal was Bensebaini’s first goal of the season. His side are now fifth in the French top-flight log with seven points from four games.
