Abderraouf Benguit and Tayeb Meziani officially won the 2019-2020 Tunisian championship after Taraji’s narrow victory at US Monastir (0-1). Concerning the academician of JMG, Benguit participated in this success which seals this season interrupted by the COVID-19 and which resumed on August 1, 2020.
For Tayeb Meziani (unfortunately who did not play much this season), this is already his fourth title gleaned with Mkachkha after winning the 2019 championship, the 2019 Tunisian Supercup and the 2019 CAF Champions League. It is the 30th championship title acquired by the Tunisian team which holds the record for championships won, far ahead of Africain Club which has 13 titles. Finally, Mouine Chaabani’s men will have two more league matches to play against ES Metlaoui and JS Kairouanaise respectively.
