This year 2017 was the beginning of the awards for the Mali Academy, which is following the footsteps of its eldest, the Abidjan Academy.
After Doudou entered the ranking of the 100 best young players of the world and Salam in list for the trophy of the best young African player of the year. It is the turn of Diadié Samassekou to win the ORTM Gold Eagle Award 2017.
Launched in 2016 by sports journalists from the Malian Broadcasting Office (ORTM), the trophy is awarded to the best Malian international sportsmen, playing in a foreign championship.
Small details, in the list of the 6 players retained in the final for this distinction there were 2 other academicians: Bissouma and Hamary.
